Yesterday, was a non event. We spent all day on the road, (more or less) driving from Kasane to Maun.

Today however, we are heading into the Okavango Delta. (aka Swamp!)

We start the morning by boarding our Makoros, which are a type of dugout canoe. We have pollers, that 'punt' was through the reeds to our camp site for the night.

I use the term campsite loosely. It's a clearing just inside the samp, and that's it. No toilet, no running water...nothing.

As beautiful as the place is, there's not much going on. We go for a couple of walks, we swim in the swamp. (1 leech on 1 person, and even then it was teeny tiny). Oh - and I learnt how to play bridge...sort of.

It was an experience, but there was a lot of waiting around as it was far too hot to do anything. Indeed, we set off fairly early the next morning.
