Heya all. (wooda again)
Havent been on here since I was down in Mudeford and I've packed in a bit since then still hot on the family visting trail. this is a bit long but worth it i think.
I left my Grandma's last Friday and took a bus down to Devon where my uncle lives with his wife and two kids. I had, as they would say, a well nice time. On the Saturday I went to the village fete and it was awesome lots of local people selling any and everything. The village school kids were running heaps of stalls, mostly games, interesting is the best work to describe most of them. On the Sunday we went down to the beach (not much sand just pebbles) but the water was warm and the sun was out so we all had a good swim and it was a really nice day. From there I got a train to Bath for the night but didn't really see much of Bath itself. The people I shared a dorm with were hardly youthful, not one was under 40. There was also a bunch of French people sitting on the street eating cheese and drinking wine and they were bloody loud, so not much sleep was had.
From Bath I drove with my mum's friend back to Forest Row (a small village about an hour on the train from London). On the way back we stopped at Salisbury Cathedral which is absolutely massive and very worth stopping for. There they also had the very first Magna Cata dating back to 1215 itis considered one of the most important legal documents in the history of democracy all of it was in latin though so all I know is what the guide told me. It is the basis of the bill of right and the US constitution and was the first time people had been given the rights when it came to imprissionment (innocent until proven guilty is what to the board said) so pretty damn spooky to think how much that shaped the worlds legal systems etc.
At Amand's I did a lot of catching up with her kids and husband Gary which was great i also caught up with someone a little less likely in Jo. yer Jo from Canberra which was mad fun chilling with an Aussie for a change we spent the day in a close by city called Royal Tunbridge Wells. We didnt get up to much but it was good.
On Friday I made by way up to Leicster (where I am now) by bus and train and spent most of the day walking around london then sleeping with my massive pack in Hyde Park.
Next stop Germany
