Well still playing catch up. We were in London from the 23rd to the 28th of May. We stayed with my (wooda) auntie who lives about 25mins from the centre of town on the underground (which is bloody awesome so fast and can get almost anywhere).

we got in there on the wednesday from cardiff i think we got into Victoria station (where most of the train and all of the coaches leave from and come into London to the rest of the country) at about 2:30pm. There was a fire at one of the other big stations in London that afternoon so the place (Victoria) was packed. so most of wednesday was taken up travelling and then catching up with Anne my aunite and her three kids there is a pic of them on here somewhere.

On the Thursday we just had a look around the centre of London with Anne acting as our tour guide. We saw some of the more famous sights like Buckingham Palace and The London Eye. We also went to an extremly expensive and weird food store. They were selling Scorpion Vodka with actually scorpions in the bottom of the bottle which and the packet assured that they were there to be eaten once the vodka was finished.

Friday we just chilled out and saw one of my great aunties. I think we also went swimming or maybe that was Thursday as well I dont know.

Saturday was a pretty full on day. Not great weather wise but we made the most of it. Firstly we got the tube to Camden Town where there are markets everyday but saturday and sunday is when it is really busy. Most of the stalls were selling cheap shirts or emo stuff along with bongs and tourist stuff. we then went on from there to Regent and Oxford street which were packed with tourists. Hammely's was the only store we actually went into. It is a massive toy store which has 5 levels and tons of toys that you can have a go of (lots of fun and lots of kids). London Tower Bridge was our next stop and from there we walked for a while eventually making our way up a tall building i think it was called the Monument. Here we got a pretty good view of the Thames and the rest of London. It wasnt long before it was raining so we gave that up and headed back.

Sunday we awoke to rain and wind but we still got out of the house eventually. We headed first to the East End in search of a 24 hours bagel shop which was recommended by some website. We finally found it at about 11:30am after 2 tube rides a couple of miles of walking and a lot of rain. It was worth it though. We then went back towards the centre of town and spent a good two hours in the Tate Modern (an art museum full of modern art from around the world). St Paul's Cathederal was our last stop for the day and being a Sunday we didnt get to see much as it was being used.

Monday, I left for Horsham and Rhi left for Leeds I think she will put in an entery on what she's been up to there.
