We are a tad late but were in vienna, austria on the 5-7th of July
Vienna is a beautiful city full of coffee shops, museums and smooth talking Italians on every corner trying to sell you tickets to Mozart concerts. We became coffee coniseurs at Cafe Hawelka, felt oh so cultured after a visit to the Museum of Modern Art and became slightly knowledgable about history in Vienna after a visit to Schloss Schonbrunn, the summer residence of Schlossburgs (even if it was slight information overload). As much as we felt cultured and sophisticated we also got in touch with our inner child going in a maze and a labyrinth, finding ourselves eating sundaes in Maccas 2 nights in a row (although even Maccas is quite cultured with little statues and fancy music) and spending a night in Prater Amusement Park where we went on a psycho spinning ride and after Wooda was so close to throwing up!
The city itself is beautiful, buzzing with people but with a relaxed atmosphere at the same time. Watched some great breakdancers busking - they were absolutely amazing and spent Saturday arvo chilling out in the Museum Quarter where they have tonnes of kind of massive sun lounges and a live DJ spinning chill out tracks.
Loved Vienna!
