September 1st- Today the Foley five left scone and ventured towards Moree. Our first stop was Narrabri for lunch, we ate sandwiches and drank poppers. All around Narrabri was paddocks of cotton. When we got to Moree, we set up the caravan and went to the Artesian pool (hot springs) and swam in 39 deg, 35 deg and 34 deg pools .The water is hot because it comes from deep underground .Then we came back to the van and had happy hour and tea.
September 2 –Today we got up early, Dad locked the doors and sent it! We drove about 700 km it took all day. We stop at Mungindi for morning tea which is the boarder of QLD and NSW. Just after Mungindi we saw 4 beautifully painted silos in a small town called Thallon. Then We headed towards St George for lunch by the weir. We finally arrived at Mitchell for ice–cream and coffee for Dad. As we travelled we saw lots of different animals such as emus, eagles and two echidnas crossing the road. About 15 mins away from Augathella we saw a road sing that said “what do you think the Augathella rugby league mascot is?” After that a couple invited us over to their fire to have a chat they ended up giving Lachie a boomerang, they were very nice!
