Leave at: 9:15 Temp.: 43 degrees
Accrued miles to Date: 7132
Saying for the day: Let me be patient, let me be kind; make me unselfish without being blind.
I may have faith to make mountains fall, but if I lack love, I have nothing at all.
Into British Columbia at 12:15 p.m. and for many days now. LOTS of rain half way into our drive today and the mountains are just beautiful today, one of our last times to see them.
We've veered off from the Alaska Hwy in favor of a different route, the Cassiar Hwy. We're told this road is a lot more scenic and hopefully, more wildlife.
Vehicles are few and far between, which makes travel nice, except for some frost heaves here too.
Boya Lake Provincial Park is everything we heard about it - WOW! We were fortunate to get a beautiful site right on the lake - see pics. But pictures as you know, don't usually do full justice to the subject matter.
We did some walking around the park and met some great folks from Tennessee. Had some good chat with them for awhile in the afternoon and enjoyed a fire in the evening.
Arrive: Boya Lake Provincial Park at 1:40 pm.
Staying: 2 nights
Thursday, June 22, 2017 Temp.: 52 degrees and sunny.
Really sunny and beautiful today, our 2nd day at Boya Lake. The sun on the lake makes beautiful diamonds out of the rippling water. It's supposed to warm up to the 60's today, only got to 63, but nice enough.
Sit outside by the lake most of the morning, watching the kayakers, canoes and standing paddle boarders go by. One guy on a paddle board had his dog along too.
The folks we met from Tennessee yesterday had us come sit at their fire tonight; We had a wonderful time, finding out things we both enjoyed in life and especially on this trip. It was a wonderful 2 day respite at Boya Lake.
Staying: 1 more night.
Drive to: Kinaskan Lake Provincial Park
