THREE DAY BLOG
Sunday, June 25, 2017 Miles to next Stop: 304
Time Leaving: 7:40 Temp: 43 degrees, light mist and rain. Record high today: 83 degrees
Saying for the day: The trouble with close minded people, is that their mouths are always open.
Off to Prince George today; it's overcast and rainy, not a fun day to drive. The clouds are just hanging at the tree tops on the mountains. Maybe the sun will come out later.
Traveling on the TransCanada Hwy now, due East.
We pass several deer just hangin' out by the road, grazing.
8:45, here comes the sun. But still seeing the snow capped mountains in the clouds too.
Along our route, we are going through many Indian Reserves - including "Bulkley" Reserve: Bulkley/Nechako. We've passed about 20 different ones so far. This part of B.C. seems to be almost totally of an Indian heritage.
Drive into the town of Smithers (Smithereens), in Bulkley Valley. Quite a large community - especially to us after seeing so much wilderness.
Again we pass by so many lakes and rivers. Such beauty on this trip, it's mind boggling.
Arrive Sintich RV Park, Prince George at 1:45 p.m.
How long staying: 3 nights
Next stop: Brookside Campsite, Cache Creek, BC
Monday, 6/26/2017 Temp: 53 degrees, Sunny and bright
Last night we had all dark for the whole night for a change. Wow, what a difference.
We do some cleaning up in the trailer, catch up on E mails, repack the truck, because we had to pack the winter coats away, as they're no longer needed. We also went out and got some much needed groceries.
It was a day of busyness but a relaxing day as well.
Tuesday, 6/27/17 Temp: 53 degrees. Nice and sunny
It's a beautiful day for a little more R&R and only about 400+ miles til we're back into the USA!
We got the truck washed and gassed up to travel tomorrow to Cache Creek, B.C. We did a little driving around Prince George - it's a pretty city of about 76,000 people with lakes dotting the landscape.
High today is 70, a lot cooler than the unseasonal (for here) temperature of 83 degrees yesterday.
We make it an early night to get up early and get on the road.
Next stop: Brookside Campsite, Cache Creek, BC
