We took back all our snorkel fins, hit up sevs for some li hi candy for our family and hit the airport. It's been an incredible trip that I want on repeat. Malikai is anxious to get back to baseball, but the other two kids are trying to talk mom and dad into relocating to the islands. We saw a softball tournament on our way out and tried to convince Malikai that he could do baseball in Hawaii for sure, but he didn't take the bait.

Our trip ended perfectly with a hike at the cliffs at the end of the road in Hanae Park, the furthest you can drive north on the island of Kauai. The beach has incredible waves crashing against the rocks and hikes that are supposed to be some of the best on the island. Waimea Canyon is a good two hours from our hotel, so we arrived at Kokee Park in the afternoon. The drive was super windy and through desert, mountains and all with tropical plants and trees thrown in. Kokee Park is in the middle of Waimea Canyon and on the Na Pahli coast. The Na Pahil coast is uninhabited and the only way to access it is by boat. There are tons of hiking trails along throughout Waimea Canyon. We started off at Kokee Park museum and from there you can see a very primitive trail map.
