An acceptable night spinning round on a mooring. Woken at 04.00 by a couple of Avocets sitting on top of the spray hood, tapping their long beaks on the cabin top. Presumably to break into their breakfast.
Decided to seek shelter up a creek....Conyer creek. 9 mile plod, thru the lifting railway bridge (45 minute delay). Bridge Master was rude and un-helpful to the point of giving us duff info. Charmed.
The entrance to the creek was 'citin, to say the least. Sticks marked the narrow, shallow channel, that wound all over the place.
The helpful Marina staff were waiting to help us land...wibbley wobbley pontoon, in a force 7.
Access is only for an hour either side of high tide and within half an hour we had settled into the gloop!
We went up to the club house for a drink and a roll, then the afternoon was spent shopping, jobbing and showering.
Pub grub tonight, and then fingers crossed this weather is favourable to crack on tomoz. Can but hope!

Maureen Goodness I'm back from Scotland to read that you had worse weather than me! Well it wouldn't be an 'Adventure' if things went strictly to plan would it? Hope you have a smoother end to your trip ........ in more ways than one. Guessing you haven't read those books John? Happy Sailing
Keith and Val Conyer Creek seems to be a lot more enjoyable for you. Have enjoyed blogs and hope this response gets through this time. Withanee(Thanks for Email Alison}
