We have now finally reach the west of South America, which means I saw the sea for the first time in months! Camped on a remote beach here, no-one for miles, so peaceful, just the sound and smell of the sea as you sleep, and cook a mean bbq! Chilled out playing volley ball, ad some partyng in the evening! Then headed Huacachina, which is out in the desert, an oasis town. The snd buggies picked us up and then drove out into the desert, i say drove as in up and down vast sand dunes at about 100 mph in a roll cage on wheels, with a totally made driver to top it off! Such immense fun, stopping off at various dunes to do some sand boarding, such high dunes, you just wax your board up an huttl yourself over the edge! Our leader was testing us and picked a different dune to the others to sand board down, to see if we would have the nerve to do it as it was 300 metres high. And of course once you have been set the challenge . . . . ! Then after watching a stunning sunset we head to a set up in the desert for dinner, many cuba libres and cheesy tunes. And of course after cuba libres you think you are invincable! So the sand boarding challenges began, in the dark, two to a board, going down on your front, and a new sport created called Sand Bagging, huttling yourself down a steep dune in your sleeping bag, rolly polly style. Awesome amount of fun. Then to top it off, sleeping without tents under the stars on the sand, unforgettable x
