Well we arrived in Port Hedland on time. Eventually we made across to the hotel we were booked into. It was Friday night, and not many people around. Seems all the fifo's had flown home!
We received a call on Monday to say that our furniture had arrived.
I started work on Monday, so Cheryl got the job of unpacking. She was so lucky!

We are still a little perplexed, as the paradise we were looking forward just didn't seem to be here.

We are living in a 3 bedroom Unit in South Hedland. Very comfortable, and slightly bigger than the one we had in Rivervale. (shoebox and a half instead of a shoebox) I have also enclosed a picture of this as well. (pre cyclone).

The owners of the company (who are a very nice couple) are interested in looking after the environment. My company car is a Hybrid Electric car. Extremely quiet and fuel efficient. Next time I say to you, "Cheryl and I are recharging our batteries", you'll know what I mean.
