Cheryl and I reluctantly set off from Kalbarri this morning. We decided to stop at Hutt River Provence on the way through. I was last there in 1978. The story of Hutt River is amazing in its own right, and in typical Australian fashion the underdog won. It was great reading the ATO assessments on show. They are classed as Non Residents. Well, it was great to be back in Kalbarri. Cheryl and I arrived yesterday afternoon. The trip down from Carnarvon was good. I was very surprised by the amount of wild goats on the roadside. After fuelling up, we left Coral Bay at about 9.00 am, and headed towards Carnarvon. Carnarvon is only about 275 kms, so we expected to arrive around midday. On the whole, it was a very uneventful trip. We located our Motel, booked in, unpacked the car, and then looked for somewhere to eat. Cheryl and I had a late breakfast at the Resort. We had to be out of the "penthouse" by 10am. We were being moved into an Oceanview room. I have attached the view of the resort from our balcony. Our glass bottom boat and snorkelling trip did not start till 12 midday so we decided to go down down and check out the shops.
