We are Sailing
Sorry about the last blog, but we are having a little trouble with the site. Anyway, the girls managed to buy some great shoes and bags. We then went to one of the many restaurants for lunch, and plug into the free wireless to see what was happening at home. After lunch we took the hop on hop off bus to see the marina area of Athens. The area encompasses the stadiums built for the Olympic games in 2004. They really are beautiful stadiums, but have now fallen into a state of disrepair, as they are not being used. Greece is finding it hard to maintain its infrastructure given its debt problems. Sadly this is reflected in the whole city. The tour around the area took about an hour and certainly was worthwhile. This then gave the girls the opportunity to go and do some more shopping. Brian and I went back to the hotel rooftop to have a few more drinks.
After the girls returned, we organised ourselves to go out for tea to another restaurant in the Plaka districts. We then returned back to the Hotel to go up on the roof to get some pictures of the Acropolis by night.
Tomorrow we leave for Preveza to pick up the boat.
