We are Sailing
Today started off quite busy. Brian and I needed to go down to the Harbour Masters office to get the paperwork done for the yacht, and to see what it time it was to be ready. It is a good walk to the marina, especially going down the 169 steps. The girls were all ready to go down town and hit the shops. They were also going to make an appointment for at a masseur as I had kinked my neck at the Moulin Rouge, and it has been quite sore ever since.
By the time Brian and I had finished the paperwork, it was time for beer. So we found a nice place on the marina, and parked ourselves down. While we were there we were admiring a couple of super yachts. I have included a photo of one in this blog. This one was available for charter a bargain at $295000 per week + expenses. It holds 68000 litres of fuel.
The girls had phoned us to see where we were, and they advised they had done there shopping and were ready for lunch. Brian and I made our way back into town to have lunch at this nice place they had found on there trip the year before.
The girls had also booked me in for a massage later that afternoon. The massage place was at the top of a set of stairs, near our restaurant. As Dianne and Cheryl were coming down the stairs and old chap was about to walk up the stairs. He was looking for a water closet. (that meant nothing to the girls) then he said "Toilet" . Dianne without thinking said, "No there is only a massage parlour up there" and he couldn't get out of there quick enough.
Well the massage worked, and I got my happy ending......my neck was no longer sore!
It was time to make a move back to the unit. Cheryl had bought her shoes and promptly gave them to me to put in MY bag, because she has no room in hers.
Later in the afternoon our friend who will be travelling with us on the boat for the next 2 weeks, phoned to say they were in town, and wanted to catch up.
Pete and Ros, and Pete's sister Jo and her husband Ray had arrived earlier that day. On their last trip Brian and Dianne found this great wine bar to celebrate we all went around there for this excellent degustation.
On our way back, Brian and I and the girls again visited the Bar on the marina. It is very hot and humid here at the moment so keeping well hydrated is a must.
Cheers to our trip. We are off tomorrow.
