We arrived at the Kimberley Entrance Caravan Park and Ian the owner was very nice telling us about a great fish and chip shop, so that had dinner sorted. We were put into a big drive through site so we didn't have to unhook. We went for a drive out to the Derby Wharf and had a wander around on it while the sun was setting. We bought our dinner and headed back to the caravan. We had huge serving and I struggled to finish all of mine. The following day was a lay day to catch our breaths, do the washing and have a snooze in the afternoon. I offered to give Chris a haircut and ended up attracting a bit of attention doing another three people. I had lots of enquires and could have been busy into the evening. It paid for our second day at Derby!! Two ladies asked which way I was heading and when I said Broome they wanted to know which caravan park I was going to be staying in. It's nice to have a portable trade! Derby was a lovely little town, we would come back here for an extended holiday.
We left at 8am and called into the Prison Boab Tree on our way out of town. The area is very green out this way and there are plenty of cattle grazing close to the road.
See you all in Broome, Virginia and Glenn
