At 5am my alarm went and I woke Sarah up. We got dressed and packed our final things .... or so we thought! The taxi came at 6am to take us to the airport. The journey took just over half an hour. We checked in and went through security and arrived at the shops. We decided to get some breakfast first before looking in the shops but whilst we were looking for breakfast we passed a technology shop. I thought I may as well buy my new memory card for my camera now as we are passing so we went in. We were looking at the cards and I asked Sarah how big her card was as she has lots of pictures on her camera. She put her hand in her bag to check and then said "OH MY GOD!" ive left my camera at the hostel. Having left her camera at home the first time and buying a new one from Heathrow she couldnt believe she had done it again. I remembered seeing it on the wooden stool in the room whilst we were eating pizza and thought it was probably still there. Seeing she was just about to start crying I started to reassure her it will be fine. We had Richards number so we could ring him and get him to put it in a taxi to the airport as we had pleanty of time. We rang Richard but it went straight to answer phone. I remembered Sarah sill had her coast2coast book with the hostels number in, so we rang the hostel. They went and woke Richard up, found the camera and put it in the same taxi as before. Sarah went outside to wait for the taxi whilst I looked after our bags and went back and bought a memory card.
Sarah came back with her camera so all ended well and we went and found breakfast. We made it on the plane and had a smooth journey to Argentina. However once we were there we didnt know where we were getting picked up from as they were supposed to of sent us an email explaining where to meet but they hadnt. We found a cash point and got some money out each and then we found some computers where we could go on the interent. So e went on to see if they had eventually sent the email but they still hadnt. So we looked on their website again and found a bit where it said there is an orange meeting point to the left of arrivals. That was where we were to wait for a man in a red hostel T-shirt to pick us up. So e set off looking for the orange meeting point. In the distance I spotted an orange pillar so we headed for that. It was indeed the meeting point so we stood there. Eventually a man not in a red T-shirt but had a red hostel sign showed up but he only spoke spanish! Hed had our names written down though so we followed him to the minibus and so did 4 others.
We arrived at the hostel Obelisco half an hour later and we shown to our room. To get to our room we had to go in the lift which was tiny and like a cage. We only just fit in with all our bags. We were on the 5th floor which was the top floor. It was a nice room and had obviously just been done up as it stunk of polish! We went straight to bed as according to us it was 1am even though it was 8pm here. Our eventful day was over, we had made it!
