my accommodation was close to O,Connell street ,very central.the first morning I was there ready for the first departure of the hop on hop off bus.my first stop was at the kilmainham gaol.I want to beat the crowds for the tour.gloomy ,sad place in its time,our guide was very knowledgeable and we heard a lot about the history of the building ,the people who were incarcerated there etc.after the tour a look around the museum attached.back on the bus for a full circuit. I spotted a sign for a market on a place so when back to investigate.the park was beautiful ,it was a food market with live music.a nice way to enjoy lunch and the sun came out,bonus.back on the bus and off at Liffry river a walk back to hotel via temple bar,and a look around the city on foot.(over 3 hrs)at 9pm it was still light out,sunset is about 10pm.a slice of pizza and glass of wine to finish the day,it was just the first place I found at the time,nothing special about it ,just filled the hunger gap..
