After i got off the internet last night, we went down to Bar 23 and got our free drink, and so i thought i'd be brave and try a 'Sake' - the typical Japanese liquor. I think its made with rice, its a bit bizarre but not too bad, have definitely tried worse things! It came in like a little square box and was bigger than a shot - id say a small tumbler in size.
Today we got up earlyish for a busy day and lots of walking. We headed down to the subway and got to 'Shibuya' and wandered about the shops. We went into a 7 floor shop called Tokyo Hands which we thought might be a bit like Afflecks Palace, but it was more like Ikea!! Loads of houseware and furniture, and the odd toy parts and stuff, so not great! Then we walked to 'Harajuku' which is full of freaky young people. Most men are dressed in skinny jeans, and blue/green/pink hair isnt unusual! So we went for a drink and sat in the window and watched all the weirdy people go by. The girls are well into knee high socks and leggings. Also some dress like dolls and have big hair, so its all very bizarre! Then we got the subway to Shinjuku, where we went up this Government Met Building which houses an observatory. So we went up that and I hated every minute as I can't stand heights. I took rapid pictures, then headed back down! Then we came back to Asakusa and went in a 100Yen store - which is about 50p! But didn't buy anything. Think we're gonna venture out for a traditional Japanese tea tonight, although i have had tummyache all day so dunno whether its gonna help!! hehe
