didnt wake up today until midday again today - grrr this jetlag malarky is a joke! anyway got up and showered, and headed for the dreaded subway station. got to central tokyo and visited the japanese emporers palace grounds. the weather was so balmy that it seemed a chore as we were also still tired, after another noisy night in our hostel listening to next doors conversation! after that, we got on the metro again and headed for ginza, a nearby part of tokyo which is home to many of the big electrical stores, like toshiba, fuji, nikon, and the sony centre. we went inside the sony building to see millions of tvs which were as thin as paper!, laptops to practically fit in your hand! mp3 players which were as light as a feather and smaller than a flea! but the prices were a joke too, the cheapest earphones would set you back at least 15 quid! we tried to find a place to stop by have a drink and watch the busy city of tokyo go by, but as we were in such a wealthy area most cafes were charging a fiver for an orange juice! ridiculous! mum, even you could not hunt out a bargain here! well i apologise for the poor punctuation on here, the computers keep jumping to japanese and i can not find caps lock, everything is just so confusing! just looking at the subway map gives me a headache!?i am just not a city person at all, its far too hectic for my liking! altho tokyo is cool and iv always wanted to come here, i did expect it to be a tad more tourist friendly, and not so hit and miss! but ah well its definitely an experience to say the least!!
