Up and out of the D&D Inn after breakfast around 7.30am. Picked up at 8am by minibus and taken to the airport which we already booked yesterday and paid 100B (2pound). Flight to Singapore took just short of 2 hours, which was fine. Got a taxi to 'Little India' and searched around for a place to stay. Although no hostels had double or twin rooms so had to settle for a female dormitory with 6 beds. Cost us 45 Singapore Dollars for 3 nights (15pound). 3 sets of bunk beds enough space for bags and seems fairly clean. Breakfast included. Had a wander around everything seems to very Indian, hence the name Little India, lots of curry houses, sari shops - very Bollywood! Went on the internet to look for accomodation for Perth - it is SO expensive, I am petrified of the money situation. I think Aus and NZ will rinse our finances! I am so scared, even 20 bed dorms are expensive. So am a bit worked up and panicky at the mo!

Today we got up and showered and down for breakfast for 9am. Night was noisy and air conditioning got very cold, so ear plugs went straight in and blanket on! haha. Simple breakfast if you want eggs you have to cook them yourself, otherwise there is toast, peanut butter, jam etc. We walked to the bus stop and got on the opent top Hippo bus and paid for a 2 day trip for $33 (11pound). We got on the city tour coach and first stop was the river cruise, which took us around the harbour, saw all the skyscrapers and the industrial port, also the Merlion which spits water. It was really good - took lots of pictures, which I have uploaded onto here. Then we got back on the bus and got off on Orchard Road - got some lunch and walked round the shopping malls - electricals are dirt cheap here! I considered getting a new MP3 player as mine has unfortunately died, and i cannot live without music! I asked the man how much it would cost me to get it repaired and he said about 150 pounds, but then he offered me a brand new Zen Micro with an 8gb memory (twice the size of mine) and it holds pictures too, for what works out about 60 quid!!! They're at least 200 in the UK! I was so tempted, but obviously cant afford to do things like that. Ah well. Next stop was 'Raffles Hotel' where we went in the museum and had a look round - very elegant. Although a Singapore Sling was $33 so we decided against that!! Then we got on another bus and went to 'Sentosa Island' which was a right tourist trap, view tower, 4D theatre, cable cars, more Merlions, and EVERYTHING cost more money so we didn't do anything there. But we only had an hour, til our pick up back to Little India, had a curry (appropriate) for tea in one of the many curry houses.

As we walked into our room to go to bed last night we had a shock as there was a new girl in the room, she was black and lay spreadeagled naked across the floor with a towel barely covering anything!! She was fast asleep! How random! So we just ignored her and got in bed. Today was our second day on the Singapore Hippo Tours. We took the Heritage bus this time which took us around 'Little India' 'Chinatown' and the 'Financial Street' where all the skyscrapers are. Then we had to wait at Suntec (the pickup/swapover point) to get on the Moonlight Tour at 6pm, so that was boring but gave us time to mull over our Lonely Planet book on Australia. Again I got worked up over money and we have decided to look into maybe changing our flights 3 weeks forward. But we need to see if there is an STA Travel in Perth. Got picked up at 6pm and taken to Sentosa for the light and water laser display. It was absolutely shockingly rubbish. Meant for kids and not worth the $2 we paid! it could have been so much better! But it had a story with it, animated creatures and naff actors, but luckily only lasted 30 mins! Got dropped off by the bus at Bugis Walk and headed back to the hostel in the pouring rain! Packed our bags ready for an early start for our journey to Australia tomorrow!
