14th May 2007 Today we haven't done much apart from being in the Sun all day, and i have burnt my tummy and underneath my arms despite using sun cream of FACTOR 15!! which normally you would never catch me doing!! Wow that African sun is powerful!! Done a last load of washing and packed our rucksacks ready for the journey tomorrow which i am a little apprehensive about as usual, but got my rescue remedy calming drops so hopefully i will be ok!! 7th May 2007. Today Anthony our guide took us to the Cheetah project, where we saw cheetahs, wild dogs, a baby zebra, wild african cats, and funnily enough a Bengal tiger (which was gorgeous!). It was similar to the rehab place but more to protect the endangered species, and to encourage more breeding, but there were a few orphans too. 1st May 2007 Safe arrival into Johannesburg South Africa. Only an hour ahead from the UK timewise so no jetlag etc. Picked up at airport and taken to 'The Backpackers Ritz'. Rooms very basic and cold. Flight took just over 10hrs, didnt get much sleep. Just walked around the mall outside of our camp, doesn't seem that much to do and feel very vulnerable.
