Hi all,

Sorry it's taken a week to write a blog entry, it's been a blur of jetlag, stormy weather and Aussie Rules Footie!

So our first week we have struggled with the jetlag, which we didnt the first time around. We actually slept a whole day without realising!

The Australian winter seems to consist of rain, sun and around 10-17c, so not too brutal, although there was a small earthquake yesterday (I felt it, Russ didnt!)

Met up with big brother Carl and his work colleagues, and had a good time catching up and exploring more of the city. The next night we went to an AFL game, which was surprisingly brilliant! We both have a good grasp of what seemed before to be the most complicated sport ever! If you can get past the tight singlets and shorts, its a great game. Not a mullet in sight!

Great to be back in Melbourne city centre, enjoying being able to walk everywhere or hop on a tram. Here they have communal cars, parked in various streets that you can just hire, so maybe we will sign up to that scheme and go exploring outside the city soon.

Apart from that we have been running along the Marybirnong River again and are full steam ahead on the job search. In terms of construction, the state of Victoria seems a bit quiet, so you never know, a move to Brisbane, Perth or Sydney could be on the cards..
