Hi all,

We have arrived! The flight was delayed by about 2 hours, but was actually not bad at all - either we slept a lot or the movie selection was good! We were not at Singapore airport very long at all in the end. It took a fair while getting off the plane (the airbus is HUGE) getting our bags, going through immigration etc, but was fairly smooth. The sniffer dog didnt show much interest in our bags thankfully.

The weather here is really hot now, have had to slap on the suncream already. Brett picked us up from the airport and gave us a drive by tour of the neighbourhood. We are just by the Maribyrnong river and only about 7kms from the big Melbourne smoke, so looking forward to exploring in the next few days.

We are currently on the balcony wearing our sunglasses and drinking a cold beer - a real change from life back in the UK. Russ and Brett are talking shop - i.e life in Oz, (mainly money, taxes etc, you know Russ) and chatting about what the next few days will entail. We are off to a first birthday party on Saturday, then off to the races, which will be good.

So not too much to report as yet, but wanted to let you all know we arrived safely, and have both said how happy and relaxed we feel already, not too tired either! Russ looks like the cat that got the cream, which is nice to see. Our room is lovely and big with lots of storage space and its very green and quiet where we are.
