Hi again,
Been a busy few days since we last wrote. We went to St Kilda, which is like Brighton, if you like. It has a small beach and funky little cafes and bars.
We took a nice long walk along the Maribyrnong river, which runs through Ascot Vale. Russ doesnt like walking in grass though - his spider phobia is getting worse! ;-)
We've really got to grips with the city itself, and its starting to feel more like home. Its so small compared to London and in a grid, so you can really walk around to anywhere and it doesnt take very long. We got ourselves Aussie Vodafone simcards so should be up and running with an Aussie number soon.
Yesterday we went to the Docklands Marina - its very new, it certainly wasnt here when I came before. Its not a patch on London's Docklands, but was nice all the same. The architecture is really unusual here - its all a bnit mish mash. There we met Carl inbetween his meetings. He was in Melbourne from Sydney on business, and once he had finished working, the three of us explored the city, going down little back lanes finding quirky little bars off the beaten track. We even made friends with a Serbian bar man who follows Man U and has a drink everytime he serves you one.
Tomorrow we are meeting a friend who is over here on holidays and will maybe take a trip down the Great Ocean road.
