Friday 28th - Left Naracoorte this morning and drove down via Horsham to the Grampians National Park. We are staying at a very full caravan park just near Lake Belfield. It is further away from the hustle and bustle of Halls Gap but still close to all the walks and lookouts.
We walked down lots of steps to Mackenzie Falls. Lovely waterhole at the bottom but unable to swim in this one as it is part of the water source for the area. After we climbed back up all the steps, we drove around to Reeds Lookout and then walked out to The Balconies. A rock formation that ironically looks like a couple of balconies!
Gracie had a swim in the pool this afternoon and made a couple of friends.
Saturday 30th - Today we walked up to the Pinnacle. On the way, we walked through rock formations called the Grand Canyon. The pathway in many places has been man made with lots of slabs of rocks placed as steps - lots of work!! but easier to walk on than really big boulders. From teh Pinacle, the view is awesome and you can see our caravan park just near Lake Belfield. Another big one for Gracie - 5.5km return!
Gracie had marshmallows tonight with a couple of friends she has made here.
