Left Barwidgee Creek this morning and went back down through Myrtleford to get to Beechworth.

Barwidgee Creek Rest Area for the night. Big area by the creek all to ourselves!

Took a while to cool down last night but it finally did about 3am. After pancakes for brekky we headed over to Myrtleford where we chatted to a lovely man at the visitors centre about what to do in the area. Also had a look at an amazing shop that imports heaps of items likes doors, furniture and nic-nacs from Morocco and other such places. Headed to Bright via the Red Stag Deer and Emu Farm. We left Werribee South and stopped into see "The Mansion". This is a HUGE manor house, three storeys high with 60 plus rooms. Built in the 1870s it was home to one of the pastoral pioneers of the area. Fantastic the way it has been restored as it is now owned by Parks Victoria. Next to the house is the State Rose Garden. This is planted out with over 5000 rose bushes of all kinds. After lunch we headed north and have stopped to camp at Pioneer Bridges near Everto...

After a busy day in Melbourne we are back at Werribee South. Heading north tomorrow.
