Set off early to drop our campervan off and then headed into town to meet up with our fellow welsh supporters ahead of the game. We met a guy from Welshpool on the bus who was looking a bit strangely at me and then after five minutes he said "it's you off the telly I knew I had seen you somewhere before!" fame at last. Unfortunately he remembered me as I was praising the lager (not good!) Headed to the Irish bar as soon as we got to town and were swiftly followed by the Skysports camera crew who wanted us to sing (they obviously haven't heard me sing before!) so we gave them a couple of renditions of Delilah, Bread of Heaven and Hymns & Arias. The presenter noticed some of the guys had songbooks which he seemed to like so Nick loaned him one for the singsong but asked for $2 if he wanted to keep it (only Nick!!) I insisted he gave him the book for nothing which made the Sky bloke happy but Nick very unhappy. Went up to the ground by train where we had a cracking singsong entertaining the other fans in the carraige (mostly Aussies!) It was a bit dissappointing as the other fans seem to have no response to our songs apart from chanting their team names (not very original!) I think there needs to be a campaign ahead of the next world cup so all teams have at least one song! This will give us welsh a chance to save our voices (mine deserted me 4 weeks ago and still hasn't returned!) Watched an amazing game even though we lost and left very very proud to be Welsh!
