Today is our last day in New Zealand. Nick and Chris went off down t'mine with a friend Paul in the morning which they both found very exciting. This afternoon we went to say our goodbyes to Julian, Victoria and family and then headed back for a barbacue with the Kanuians. This was followed by watching the All Blacks win the rugby world cup. Today is our last day in Mission Bay, Auckland so we went out for a walk on the beach in the morning and then called with the Brecon boys to say goodbye (Nick didn't blubber at all thankfully!) Set off early to drop our campervan off and then headed into town to meet up with our fellow welsh supporters ahead of the game. We met a guy from Welshpool on the bus who was looking a bit strangely at me and then after five minutes he said "it's you off the telly I knew I had seen you somewhere before!" fame at last. Went for a bush walk first thing in the Kauri Forest next to our campsite which was a fab way to start the day. We then set off for our return to Auckland and got home early afternoon. Set off early this morning to see the lighthouse at Cape Reinga (the most northern point of New Zealand and the place where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean meet). We did look for where the two seas met but could not find it, the rain was lashing down and the wind howling so we decided 5 minutes trying was enough!
