Arrived early evening in Rio de Janeiro after an uneventful bus trip. Had a quiet day in the hostel. Brazilians really love god so not a lot happens on a Sunday. The buses are few and the shops are closed so everything we wanted to do was a non starter. Nick spent the day sleeping and I spent it reading. We did have a walk around Iguassu in the afternoon as we had spotted some motorbike taxis and thought it would be fun to have a lift with one. Today we went to Itaipu Dam (one of the wonders of the modern world - in some publications). Again we went on the bus but this time standing up whilst travelling at 100 mph (even more fun!) Well all the tourist brochures show the Dam with huge amounts of water gushing down the spill gate. Went to Iguassu Falls today (the Brazilian side). Went on the bus, Artyn Senna used to be a Brazilian bus driver until they let him go because he was too slow doing the Iguassu Falls run - FACT!
