Day 2 on the boat and nothing much to report just lots of water and lots of trees. Bathroom still flooded and still stinking - note to self: must learn Portuguese for can I change cabins please? Could be worse some of them are sleeping in hammocks next to the engine.

Today we are leaving Manaus to catch the boat to Belem, we were scheduled to leave at 12 but in true Brazilian style we left at 3.30pm. We have booked a cabin which is classed as 1st so are being treated like royalty. Unfortunately 1st class on a boat in Brazil gets you an ensuite with a toilet, shower and sink which don't work and a awful smell from leaking water. Woke this morning after a very good nights sleep- hammocks are very comfortable. We had eggs and secondhand marijuana smoke for breakfast and then set off for the beach. Did not sleep much last night as there was a huge storm and it felt like the raft was going to sink! Got up early and went out on canoe to watch the sunrise over the rainforest whilst dolphins circled the boat, amazing!
