We arrived at our hotel, Life Heritage Resort, around 2pm and checked in. The hotel was right next to the old town of Hoi An so was in the perfect location to explore.
After dropping our bags in our room we decided to head out for lunch. There was a list of recommended restaurants provided by the hotel so we thought we'd give one of them a go, Ms.Ly's.
After being largely left alone in Ho Chi Minh City we were not ready for the wave of sellers swarming us the moment we crossed the border between the hotel and the street. Women in conical hats selling water, laundry services or hiring motorbikes came at us. We managed to work our way through the scrum and walk down to Ms.Ly's for an overdue lunch. The food was great and cheap.
We returned to the hotel after stopping at one of the laundry places near the hotel, Anh Vu. We got some prices and decided it was quite cheap so piled our dirty laundry into a bag and took it back to be washed. She said it would be ready the next afternoon.
Back at the hotel we booked our tour to My Son for Monday and our transfer to Hue for Tuesday then had a swim before heading back out for dinner. We decided to try another recommended restaurant, Morning Glory. The food here was good but not quite as good as Ms.Ly's and more expensive.
After dinner we returned to the hotel for the night.
