hi all its been quite a while i must admit, this being a backpacking with no job malarky is really a full time job in itself..

i am currently in Chiang Mai with our Rose, its my last day in thailand today after almost 6 weeks of being here, tomorrow we head to kuala lumpa very early in the morning.

since my last entry i will try to do a recap of what happened... well we eventually found Henry who was awol in his room asleep with the rest of them kels, jamie n gregor. by the time we finally got them out of bed t meet me n pete for some tea it was time to party hard again. we had already decided that tonight was the night for some p**** ping pong action to affirm my status as sex tourist, so after a lot of beering up that night, where me n jamie als tried the local delights of grubs and i tried a massive beetle and he had a teeny spider. slight disclaimer if you ever beleived what jamie would tell you about the size of the creatures we ate. anyways we did eat them and mine tasted of smoky bacon crisps so werent too bad at all to be honest and they were served on plates which made them feel like a real meal which was quite sweet. best meal ever on khao san road i think. anyways after that and us trying to find a tattoo parlour for henry and kels to get tattooed we got in a tuk tuk driving my charlie schumacher and he took us to the famous delights of a ping pong show. it was bloody miles away and he did tuk tuk wheelies much to our glee!! we were all drinking buckets in the tuk tuk to make the experiene a bit more enjoyable. my tuk tuk man was proper mental like and also a wee bit scary ass!! nevermind tho we made it to this lovely not seedy at all club... we saw some p**** ping pong which was dissapointing, we did see bottles being opened tho which was more impressive and then me and henry got involved by accident so we were helping to pull rope with lights out of the ladies vajaja. which is something that we felt we should have been paid for but no baht appeared apart from the 1000 that henry donated to the poor girl. we all left this show when the man came out to do the live sex show we all agreed we did not wanna see that!! so off we went back to khao san road to our favourite bar the aptly named 'very strong cocktail & no ID required - and restaurant' geniune name here people. bloody love thailand haha!! we continued with the buckets, then some crazy ass american girls turned up Gena and Jennifer! Pete went home with Jennifer to my home so that was me stayin in henrys, jamies, gregors and kels room that night!! at some point in the night jamie and henry and kels came back to the bar and they had all been tattooed!! henry and kellie had got some thai symbol on their fingers n behind their ears and jamie and henry had define life on their sides that henry had wrote himself with a massive gap in between the words. super cool!! jamie also got his friends name scott as a tribute which is nice. in the morning when we tried to wake jamie up to tell him he got him first 2 tattoos in thailand im not so sure he beleived it until he saw them haha. thats one bangkok hangover!! that day we chilled by the pool on the roof drinking beer whilst we awaited out overnight bus and boat to koh tao. by this point a crazy canadian murderer had joined our crew, he was really old and a total weirdo and half way to koh tao started trying to tell the boys it was s*** and they should go to kh samui with him?! hed never even been to koh tao tho and im not sure why he was coming with us if thats what he really thought? i thought what a weirdo so made sure to take some photos of him incase he got us one by one... he took plenty pics of us too which i found very weird!! pervert!! lucky when we got to koh tao he pissed off and left us alone, he loved kels tho and wouldnt leave her alone bless her. on route to koh tao we were dropped off at chumpon... i mean around 35k away from the pier haha at 3am. perfect. eventually a lil tuk tuk arrived to take us to the pier for very good price even tho we'd already paid the price. so annoying. so off we went 10 in and hanging out of the tuk tuk with all the bags on our knees or mainly mine and genas we were in agony!!! when we made it there was only one thing to do while waiting for the boat, drink more beer so we had a little pier party by this point there is me, dr pete, hen, kels, jamie, gregor, gena and jennifer. and drew. canny lil party we had there. the boat was a good few hours long so we got to koh tao around 10ish am so we went strght to kels bar Why Not for a beer and then we went n checked in at sunshine round the corner, we are on chalok beac which is lovely and quite with some canny nice bars on the beach its a cool place indeed. they all hired motorbikes ( i didnt cos im a massive wimp) and we went to the high bar for a nice drink with a viewhigh up in the hills its gorgeous. henry was my designated driver for most of koh tao and jamie too. lucky they are both good drivers!!

on night we went to the castle party which was canny, henrys dad was there it was so nice to see him... we then left to go to a stripper bar round the cprner instead to drink tequila with the thai go go girls, to remind me of this i stole some safety pins from them as one of the girls wanted me to pay her good baht for some sexy time! i said no and then stole pins!! we drank some nasty tequilas in there then gregor said he'd been robbed in the toilet but it turned out hed just forgot hed bought us all 2 tequilas each. doh! scottish people arent good at drinking at all it turns out... we then ended up going back to a bar next to our bungalows where we asked for a cosmo and they didnt know what that was so we explained it was pink so we ended up with pink grapefruit juice ith vodka! mmm... so we didnt drink it and went to bed instead!!

one day we went for a drive on the bikes to find a nice beach we found one with a monkey on it... nice! i felt ill the whole time we were there i wasnt impressed at all, it was chained to the tree but still i dont trust them little blighters!! evil monkeys. i went no where near it obviously for safety reasons.

anyways everything was going so smoothly we were all loving life koh tao style and we had been by the beach at sairee all day one day and we were on our way home me n henry ahead as we are like leaders of the pack and all i hear is a massive smash and a scream so we stop the bike and i ran as fast as i can in flip flops and found my poor american ghetto girl off her bike covered in blood lying in a doorway. she said her shades were faling off her face so she followed them and smashed right ona corner, she smashed her shin right off a concrete slab bless her it was cut well badly and was in proper shock bless her she was proper shaking, it turned out it was gena whose scream i heard!! anyways she had smashed her bike up pretty bad too which is never good in thailand. a nice man came along who worked at the clinic and said he would get his quad bike to take her to hospital so off he went and got that and then he took her over bless him, she got sent to another hospital for xrays but nothing was broken thank god she had tons of stitches and was warned to keep it dry and to get it changed everyday. lucky we had a doctor on board to help with her after care!! but she is ok she is the most rock girl i ever met apart from me ha! that night her and pete stayed in sorted her cocktail of drugs out she had been given! we went to the lady boy show to take our minds off it!! it was quite a traumatic day for all tho and it made them all think twice on their bikes i think.

we went and saw the muay thai boxing one night in koh tao, there were quite a few fights on which was really interesting and i well got into it, i do love boxing. seeing 6/7 year old little boy being knocked out was truely horrific tho! worst thing i ever saw in thailand we were all like 'urgh' not nice at all. when the proper adut men were fighting it was ace tho, we also bumped in drew there too. dammit. why cant he go away!! he loves koh tao by this point of course...dickhead. on christmas eve Jamies foot had a million mosquito bites on it and it was bright red and proper swelled up, so in a bar we met a man who told him to go to the docs so he went and she was like 'ooooooooooo nooooooooooo!' and gave him serious drugs and said no alcohol and she said come back tomorrow to see if you can drink on xmas day and if it hadnt gone down he was getting on a drip. he looked very upset by this news!! nevermind tho by christmas day he was fine!! on xmas eve when the clock struck 12 we were in why not so kels got the sparkly stuff out and we celebrated big style!!!

Christmas day was LUSH waking up, heading to the beach. me n gregor had got everyone chamnpers n prosecco to do a christmas toast it was lovely, jamie had got us all santa hats so we did a lot of posing that day it was lush jack n kels brought tons of beer to the beach and samsong!! played in the sea and drank beer all day basicvally, at one point me n jamie stole a boat!! happy days indeed. me n gena went on a running shorts shopping trip mid day. on the night time we all went for a lovely meal to whitening which was amazingly lovely!! we had that thing i love thats not beer.... WINE!! oh my buddha it tasted so good!! we then went for cocktails when kels started passing out, lucky i'm really good at catching a collapsing soul and saved her 3 times! we tried to make her go to clinic but she was having none of it as shes tough as old boots. when we were leaving to go to sairee beach everyone was taking aaages so me n jamie went ourselves. we went and had the best time ever, jamie firstly posed with a lady boy then stuck some money in his pants haha. we got buckets and posed next to christmas trees etc, we went to the beach bars but had our own bucket so borrowed some chairs to take them for a walk up the beach we got our pics taken of us sitting in the chairs in the sea with our bucket. probs the best holiday snap ever taken!! we befriended this couple and had hours of fun in the beach with them until they got sick of us and rejected us, we then went n got some laughing gas at a bar and then it turned out henry gregor jen and gena were there too! reunited at last!! me n jamie then borrowed another boat... there is a theme here im sure, we returned them all so no worries!! everytime we went near the sea we got coral in our feet so henry and jamie and me performed several operations for coral removal in our time in koh tao im qute the expert now!

on boxing day we woke up all still drunk, so basically all we could do was continue and head off on a boxing day boat trip. it was fab! jacks friend took us out he was the coolest boat man ever!! looked like a real thai pirate. he took us to some lush snorkling places i saw tons of beatutiful fishes it was lovely!! we ended up in a bar called banana rock which is my all time best bar ever it was amazingly beautiful. we ended up accidently drinking chang all day that day as everywhere kept selling out of leo etc so eventually whilst swimming in the sea the coral got my bad! bottom and top of feet, leg, arm, bum. basically my body got done over from the evil coral, i went back inside the rest and i was bleeding all over. oops bad times. thats what you get for doing water olympics!!! it was a proper fun day tho we had a class time!!!

another day we visited nangyuan island just off koh tao it was lush, you had to pay to get on and it was so beautiful, waters were just stunning i saw fish jumping out the water here much o genas delight as she hated fish!!

one night we went on the koh tao pub crawl, jamie n gregor had moved to sairee beach to meet friends of theirs so we arranged to meet them at the pub crawl, hen didnt wanna go but came anyways, the boys never showed up so hen left n it was just me pete gena and jennifer out. it was a bit of a blur but i got sick so tried to go get a tattoo but charlie said no haha. he thengot me a taxi back to chalok bless him so off i went to kels bar but it was shut so i was getting some cheese n egg pancake made when i saw kels n jack walkig back so i went back to the bar with them , then jamie arrived pissed as ever declaring he fell off his bike!! me n kellie went apes*** with him for drink driving so i obviously took his key off him so he couldnt get back to sairee that night. what a dickhead, he was in a lovely mood that night hed had a fight with gregors mate as he told her she had cankles but she ddnt like it haha. anyways after a bit of drama when he couldnt find his key he stayed in mine n henrys room that night and he apologised like a b**** cnontinously the next day. silly scottish people!

one day wed ben speaking to kellies friend erin who said she would take us diving with sharks so we went one day to shark bay, only managed to hire 2 snorkles so me n jennifer went we swam for miles! it took us ags to gt out but we didnt see any sharks but by the end i was s***ting bricks so i was just wanting to go back to shore, then these men were like 'shark over here' so off we went me absolutely not wanting to go anywhere near that stupid man but still didnt see a shark so i was happy to get back on land i was exhausted tho!! so i kinda was swimming with sharks i just couldnt see them, it was poor visability that day tho and im blind so you know! just aftr this the americans left!

and then we had to move to sairee beach as no room left in chalok as we were so unorganised! jamie n gregor got me n henry in to their place for one night then we shared their room the next night whch was ney years eve. we had booked ferry tickets to krabi on new years day at 9am so smart, not. one NYE we went to chalok to meet people for tea, me jamie n gregor ended up going then we went to why not for a few hours then we went to sairee by this point i was feeling mega ill, so just after midnight back in chalok beach i strted being sick in the bar next door, and it continued all night, amazingly i wast drunk this night i had severe food poisoning. i didnt want t get a taxi home either as its 15 mins on rocky roads and i didnt wanna be sick in the taxi so i waited it out until eventually the boys demandedi left - they took very good care of me thank god! i went to bed then eventually henry woke us up with the news he wasnt comin to krabi in the morning any more so he packed up and left to go back to why not with leanne. a few hours later it was time to hit the 6 hour ferry. YEY. sad times. i hadnt been sick for around 5 hours by this point which was a good sign!! it was a ok ferry to koh phangnan loads seats etc, then we got moved to a new ferry there that was double over booked, i ended up with a seat by chance after sitting om the floor next to a man who had 2 seats. gregor n jamie werent so lucky! after we made the ferry journey we then had 2 hours bus ride to krabi town then we go too our hotel finally, i had my own room due to henrys no show so it was lush!! and my shower was HoT and in a proper cubicle it was amazing!! that night we booked a trip for the following day and went to the night market for food, i wasnt really eating still but it was canny.

the next day we went to tiger temple in the mountains, it 1237 steps to the top it was a killer we were all wrecked for def but we made it and of course mnkeys right at the top sad times indeed. they left me alone tho thank god, a man told me that one had attacked a woman and stole her necklace 5 mins after i was there so im lucky i didnt see that!! it was gorgeious views at the top tho so well worth the trek in that heat!!

we then went to a cafe for lunch, jamie needed to go to the toilet, he couldnt find the light switch so went in the dark, no toilet paper and no time to ask, and then the poo gun didnt work for him straghtaway. never have i ever met anyone with more poo stories!!! hillarious!! we then went on to the emerald pool which was lovely but overan with evil tourists. we then went on to the hot spring pools which was amazing it was sooo hot way hotter than you would bath!! we went in there then climbed down in the cool pool where the current almost had us. it was beautiful thre and truely amazing i would go back tomorrow if i could!! we then got back to the hotel got ready and went out i got some lovely pink converse trainers and we then went and had cocktails all over the toon, we went to a seafood restaurant for tea which was ok the beer n cocktails were the best bit for me that night!!

the next day we boarded a ferry to phi phi island we booked in a 3 bed room with shared bathroom as it was quite full everything with it just been new year. we booked our trip for the beach from the beach aka maya bay and then we all went to bed for hours as the boys had been ill all night and im just lazy so we had a good 4/5 hour sleep which was well needed by all. that night we went for tea in a trehouse type bar which was awesome. then me n jamie went to see the tsunami viewpoint high up in the hills we got all the way to the top to discover it was closed so we left 20baht and broke in anyways and got so far n freaked out as it was pitch black jungle type area so we went back. really good views anyways it would have been nice to go there during the day but we didnt have time. the boat trip the next day was lush we went to 5 islands and did snorkling. we went to monkey beach were monkeys were going radge! i hate monkeys. me n jamie didnt even get off the boat as we are monkey haters! they were attacking several people who did get off silly people gregor got off and took loadsa pics but they left him alone! we went to a few other islands i have no idea of their names! and then we went to Maya bay which was were the beach was filmed. it is the most gorgeous beach ever i was so impressed the sand is white and so soft def one of the most beautiful beaches i have ever been to in my life and i have been to a canny few let me tell you!!! we got some chang to celebrate which always makes a happy day!! we then went back had showers then got the boat back to surat thani to get our overnigt bus back to bangkok where we were meeting henry leanne and kellie. we eventualy made it to bangkok super early so we checked into a hotel for a few hours to get some proper sleep. we then went n met them at their pool for a few hours before we went back on a bus to get to kanchanuburi!

our hotel in kanchanuburi had a pool and it was on the river kwai it was lovely!! the day after we go there we did a trip to the waterfalls where of course we saw monkeys so i ran away from them and by doing this i smashed my toe and almost cut it off, it was bleeeeeding like a b**** all over the mountains! lucky monkeys dont like the smell of blood so they left me alone. wethen went to hellfire pass, went on the death train, saw a cave temple and then saw the bridge over the river kwai. its a beautful place with some much history we did some posing and beer celebrations. we also then got corn on the cobs which is the best street food in thailand for sure!! mmmm!! we then got back to the hotel, henry leanne n kellie finished packing n we had a farewell beer with them!! then there bus came and they were gone. its so sad saying bye to henry again! but i will see him in april in brisbane yey! no idea when ill get to see kellie again tho.

the next day m jamie n gregor went to the elephant place to do elephant trekking, it was ok but not the best, mine n jamies elephant was a bit naughty so the man was hitting her with the hook stick thing which was horrible! we then got to go on one in the water where they splash you repeatedly then eventually just dump you off back in the water which was the river kwai of course. the boys then went to to do the tigers n i went back to the hotel to catch up on my sleep!!

the next day we we went back to bangkok for the final time!! as if i have spent my entire thai trip going backwards n forwards via bangkok!! gregor had a room booked with his mates but me n jamie didnt have one so we spent around 1 hour going from hotel to hotel to find one to stay in that was available! eventually we struck gold with a fancy hotel that had a BATH. wow! we then headed on to china town for some street food and a wander, china town was mint there was men selling sex toys everywhere amongst spare parts for motorbikes etc. very random indeed. we got some strange street food selections and then borrowed some chairs stacked up on the road t have a street food picnic which was canny nice. we then got a tuk tuk to the grand palace. it was the hottest day known to man so it was upsetting for me putting a long sleeve t shirt and a sarong on my legs!! jamie had to borrow some really sex green thai pants to wear haha. we had a nice wander round there then went to the giant female lying down buddha, then we went for a beer then we headed to a rooftop bar called amorosa so we could see the sunset with a nice glass of white wine (bliss) they didnt let us up straght away as they hate the scottish i think so when we did go all the best seats had been swiped but we still got a good one and the wine was good!!

we then wnt back to our fancy flashpacker digs to get ready to go out for a fancy italian - jamie basicaly spoiled me in my bangkok!! our taxi got lost and we got there like a hour late but it was worth the wait we had 3 courses and it was all amazing apart from jamie got black spaghetti which was horrible and tasted like it has been drowned in the north sea, probably. the restaurant manager took a shine to us and basically may as well have sat with us! so canny though, the chef spoke to everyone in the restaurant apart from us... maybe it was the flip flops we had on? everyone else was there for business meetings i think...? we had a lovely bottle of white wine that cost $50 mental. its the oldest italian in bangkok tho and was bloody lovely - thanks JamStu!!

the next day we did a bit of shopping then i went n got my taxi to airport for my flight to chiang mai. a motorbike turned up firstly which panicked me as i didnt fancy motorbiking it all the way to the airport but it was just round the corner to the taxi place thank god!!!

I arrived in chiang mai went to the htotel n went to bed, then next thing you know our Rose is outside!! she's arrived!! i had felt ill all that day as i think i had got heatstroke in bangkok the day before as id left me hat behind in the hotel so i was all shivery and ill feeling that day. so when rose arrived we went straght out for a wander, the next day we got up and went to a wat where we met a man who said it was thai new year and all the young monks were getting their head shaved that day in the once a year ceremony. how nice. we didnt go like but still quite nice that we had the option, all the boys are now sporting half shaved heads too!! we then realised there isn that much to do in chiang mai unless you want to do elephant stuff or tiger stuff or monkey stuff. so we decided we would suss out a nice hote with swimming pool we can use. the next day we went to le meridian but they well busted us asking what room number and what our name really was haha so we ran before we were turfed. ended up ina nicer hotel anyways but the pool is freeeezing!! that night we went to the lady boy show in the bazaar its the best one in thailand thats for sure they are so appy to be in it all smiling and loving it!! we then went to the bars and our Rose got a wee bit drunken and demanded we left we go in a 2am and she went to bed fully clothed!! i woke up early and i was sick then had a bad stomach for the rest of the day - getting sick of eating dodgy food now!! i really am sick of thai food now!! i would just like some proper toast and marmite or peanut butter!! last night we did gofor a indians tho which was amazing!!! i had garlic naan how happpy could a girl be!! anyways i think this is the recap pver with, im sure i have missed so much out but i cant reemember it all as i havent done a very good job of keeping on top of the blogs oops!! i will try my best from now on tho!!
