Sabadi again
today has been super super amazing. we got up had breakfast - boring.
we then got the bus to a little wooden boat then 15 mins later we had arrived at Elephant world aka an Elephant Rescue Centre! it was wow o wow e wow. we saw some straight away then we got given some bananas to feed them so we fed them for a little bit, then we got to have a elephant ride. Me Anna and Peter went on a naughty lady elephant called Cumca, me and Anna on the seat and Peter behind the ears was so funny, he was nearly falling off the whole time. we walked throught the jungle with her and all the way she was going her own little way it was so funny she was obviously hungry as she tried to pull down a million trees on the way bless her. she did suceed several times. we were going righ through the forest and it had been raining (monsoon storm) and it was all sludgy and muddy and she was slipping on the mud. our elephant guide was shouting at her to be good but she like 'f*** you' i think anyways. then half the group got to swin with the elephants while us others took pictures so we could do a swap later. it was brilliant to watch them all trooping in to the water which came from a waterfall of course. its well famcy here in Laos. High Force it is not. i think it may be mucho better just a teeny bit... haha. whilst waiting for the others to get swimming me and Janine climbed a huge treehouse but i feel we will never see any pictures of our efforts as i dont think anyone else was arsed shame on them. we saw a monkey up there too it was amazing*disclaimer - this may be a lie.
then it was finally our turn to geton the elephant swimming fun. i got my trek elephant back all to myself i got straight on behind her ears and she dunked me in the water straight away it was hillarious, she was doing all kinds of bucking bronco moves to get me in the water, the little man looking after us kept telling her off but laughing as she was so funny. i then got some bananas to feed her to bribe her into being good. she totally used me as the second the bananas were gone i was right back in the water. it was just incredible and i could have stayed there playing all day with her, such beautiful and massive animals but so friendly and playful it was just lush!! Anna one of the Norweigian girls explained they were so strong due to Elephant Power - i agree!!after that we went swimming ourselves in a part of the waterfall it was pretty cool, me and Nick then teamed up against Janine and Dr Pete (girls on the boys shoulders) and we had a amazing water fight to see who could knock the other down first. of course me and Nick won as we are super strong!! he then full on dunked me in the water off his shoulders tho so i ended up drinking around 89 litres of waterfall water and chocked for around 10 mins but we still won so i'll forgive him!!
we then had lucnh then went to visit another waterfall that was beautiful too but i definately prefered the one in Vang Vian as it was only us there. this one was tourist city! i did see one good looking boy which was a bonus out of all the fat germans and old chinese men there. we then went swimming in the waterfall in several sections of it of course. its such a hard life being a backpacker. every day we have to deal with doing amazing things. we must look like the special bus is in town all the time as we are continuosly beaming like special heads at the wonder of life. walking in to waterfall pools is a slippy business though so to be honest its some kind of miracle that i didnt damage myself!!
tonight Tong is cooking us tea, at one of his friends houses we areall excited as we have no idea what hes making for us. hes thai and he likes his food SPICY and he is always requesting people eating chillies for fun.
last night he took us to a really cool resturant, i had water buffalo burger and chips so i was happy to not be eating noodles or rice or vegetables!! it was proper gorgeous i could eat another one right now!! i really want a mcdonalds right now, vietnam had a few in ho chi minh but not seen any since so i am totally craving a cheeseburger fries and strawberry milkshake! when we arrived at the restaurant last night we got free shots of Lao Lao which is their local spirit it was strong hot but lush, so i got some 2 for 1 cocktails (i love laos) made up of Lao Lao and strawberry. it was so good i was so happy i got 2!! for like 1.50 too i think. oh yes i do love it here. i think i could be very happy here. so many times in Laos we have been walking down the street and there have been parents with their babies and we've stopped to say hello or (sabadi) and they just love it, get the kids to smile, wave or blow kisses back its so lovely they genuinely are lovely people. the kids are soo cute here too, they beat vietnam hands down. not massively sure if they can being the beijinger kids either but they certainly come close!!
anyways i think that might be it for today guys, tomoro we go on a private boat all day down the mekong river yey where i will be able to get my tan topped up which is always good! before that though we are getting up (well some of us) to feed the monks at 5.30 am. they can only eat donated food so we're going to geton that! im quite looking forward to it, its very traditional Laos. so fun times ahead tomorow. i think after one day on boat we stay in a proper hotel on night then back boat then into to Thailand! no idea when il next get computer access. my phone is also not happening here. stupid cackberry! Lagone folks or goodbye for now xxxxxxx
