The night was very cold, so glad I changed hostels!!
I started the morning by cheekily stealing my friends shower, they left me their room key to store my luggage, and before they left they said they had a lovely hot shower... Mine was freezing, so I used my resources :) I owe them big time!!
I went on a boat trip to the Uros Islands in Puno's Lake Titicaca. 'The Floating Islands' absolutely fascinating :-) very clever and amazing how communities live like this!!
The cut the deep reed roots and tie about 6-8 together, then place the reeds on top of the rope, each layer in different directions and then place an anchor stick! They build houses and rafts out of these sticks too. And each island has one solar panel for a little electricity in the morning! Who even thought of building a floating community???
In the afternoon I crossed the border to Bolivia, very funny ordeal!
You have to get out of the bus on the Peru side, get your passport and visa stamped out in two different places, then walk across no mans land to Bolivia where you need to get your passport stamped again and a new visa, then hop back in the bus and continue another 20mins to Copacabana.
I've treated myself to a hotel tonight so well see...
