An early morning keeping track of the rugby with a little help from my friends! Good start to the day! Route planned for our next stop at Lake Tepako. Accommodation booked through Airbnb at Moonlight B&B. On our way with high expectations of this place. A wonderful drive through valleys, along coastline, mountain passes and woodland. Just before arriving at our destination, we approached the Air Safari Base and airfield - we had planned to go on some kind of scenic flight so stopped off to enquire - the pilots were very helpful and talked over the options- we agreed to chance a morning flight on Sunday ad the forecast was good for 9am. EXCITING! We found our accommodation easily and got ready to go out and explore the small village on the banks of Lake Tepako. The Church of the Good Shepherd is probably the most well known landmark here. The turquoise waters in the lake look lovely. We sent a few postcards and had a drink before heading back to get swimsuits for the Hot Springs. So relaxing to sit in the hot springs in the moonlight. Then back to get changed and out for a meal. As we left the restaurant, snowflakes began to fall from the skies- very pretty but we hoped it wouldn't ruin our chances of a flight in the morning!
