What a morning! This really was the icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned! Keeping everything crossed for good flying conditions, we headed up to the Lake Tekapo Air Safaris airfield at 8.30 am. It was looking good and 3 others joined us for the trip. Our pilot was Tim. A smooth take-off straight up and over Lake Tepako and on to the mountainous McKenzie area. Fantastic views with very little cloud. We were flown over the Tasman glacier followed by the Franz Josef glacier and the Fox glacier- all spectacular and towered over by the magnificent Mount Cook. Absolutely awesome experience. Didn't want it to end! Equally smooth landing. Highly recommended.
