Friday 11th MayFriday was a productive day considering I was off colour. I did some most excellent pictures (if I say so myself) copied of course - I have zero imagination - and Crayola thick felt tips are a must. For kindergarten - a cat, a pig and a (shaggy) dog - on testing them on Stella (my housegirl) I did realise that a shaggy dog wasn't a very good example - the dogs here are far from shaggy - they a small golden brown scrawny things, but that wouldn't make such a good picture - so I stayed with what I had!On waking that morning I heard Stella cheerfully singing - it was so sweet it just reminded me of Disney's Jungle Book where the village girl sang by the river as she collected water. I smiled.Yesterday she showed me how to handwash. I do know - just to set you straight - it's easy when you have a sink and water on tap. Here you need several bowls and a large bucket of clean water to top up from. I think she was surprised when I asked her to show me "Sista, in england no washing?" I thought " yes, but machine!". I did an impression - open door - throw clothes in - shut door - press button .... then whoosh whoosh as clothes get splooshed round. She smiled....
