So we arrived on Koh Phi Phi after spending just one horrifying night on Phuket! Oh my god, Phuket really truly is an awful place.....all tacky shops, yobs and dirty old men sitting with Thai girls drapped all over them. Even the beach was rubbish because a massive Club Med resort took up almost the entire beachfront so the only way to get onto the beach was via a concrete walkway alongside an open sewer!! After Lanta, we were almost in tears. Added to this was the fact that Tim had a temperature of 102 and could hardly move!

Despite this after a much needed beer (served to us by a guy with a black eye) we decided that we would make the best of it and just have fun, but after Sam and I went out later and couldn't even find somewhere we were prepared to have a beer, a rapid group decision was taken to jump straight back on the ferry and hottail it back to Ko Phi Phi in time for New Year!!! By the following lunchtime, with poor Tim diagnosed with tonsilitus, we had landed on beautiful Ko Phi Phi and tried to wipe the memory of Phuket from our minds!

Over the next few days we explored the amazing beaches and topped up our tans! Back to doing what we did best...nothing! Ate some more bbq seafood and partied in Jordan's Irish bar! One night we hung out in the Reggae bar where we watched stupid tourists fight each other in a proper boxing ring...all highly amusing!

New Years eve was spent watching the best firedancers from around Thailand compete for US$2200 and dancing in the sea with our much loved cocktail buckets!!
