Arrived in Queensland....very hot and very humid....and where a lot of animals want to kill or maim you. Stayed in a great hostel with a pool, its own calyso bar and and all-you-can-eat buffet every night! Took a day trip out to the outer parts of the Great barrier Reef and did two very cool dives. Spent a couple more days chilling out in Sydney waiting to find out if we could extend our flight but managed to squeeze in some tourist activities! Marvelled at the extensive range of fish in the aquarium, admired the view from the top of the Sydney Tower, appreciated the stunning array of flowers and and fauna in the Botanical Gardens and even took a round trip on the metro system. Just had a wicked two weeks touring down the East coast in our little campervan…..have got to get us one of these! And only managed to go through a toll bridge once without paying and setting off one speed camera! Spent our first night in Noosa, a posh surfing beach, where we ended up sleeping in the van in a public carpark because everywhere was full…It was like being in a hot and sweaty tin can. Luckily the beach was a mere 30 seconds away so...

G'Day sports! Arrived safe and sound in Oz....looking forward to plenty of cold beer, shrimps on the barbie and trying our hand at the didgereedoo!! We are staying in the backpacker/red light district of Sydney called Kings Cross which is making us a little homesick!
