Hey all... Hope you're all well..we've finally arrived in Siberia, Western Russia after a four days and three nights in a small 4 berth cabin. We shared with two Russians, Vladim, who spoke hardly any English but still insisted on chatting to us and trying to teach us mind boggling Russian card games and Tanya, who spoke really good English and explained that he was cheating in the mind boggling card games! The journey was really great fun and totally relaxing...

Arrived in Moscow after a 12 hours journey on board the first leg of our Trans-Siberian train trip. We got bundled into our 4 berth cabin with 2 aussie girls, who live in London, who were very nice, and we all shared some cheap Soviet Champagne and warm beer then nodded off. Hello All, Just a quickkie before we leave St Petersberg in a few hours time! We are just en-route to the train station for an over-night ride to Moscow, and we've just had to carry out backpacks for the first time, it's a killer, plenty of vodka needed to dull the pain. We've had a really great week, the highlight being watching Swan Lake, even though it left me with a strange inferior feeling! Had some really good food here too, Deb tried Elk last night...

Privyet! Finally we get round to updating our site...its been a chilled couple of days mainly because it is soooo baking hot we can't move. On the first night we popped out to get some dinner and after enjoying a traditional Russian feast of Japanese rice and noodles, we ended up rocking in at 1.30am and the sun was still out!! Lucky Tim packed his sleeping eye mask! We have already done some cultural sightseeing and lots and lots of walking. Visited the fam...

Hurrah!!! Finally the day has arrived and we're terrified! In just a few short hours we'll be knocking back vodkas and queuing for our bread in St.Petersburg at the start our epic 500 day odyssey. If all goes to plan we'll be in China for Debs 30th Birthday on 23rd July, on a sunny beach in Thailand for Christmas and New Year and living it large in Rio in Feb 2007.... if anyone wants to join us, we'd be completely chuffed to see you.
