Had a mental few days after leaving Cuba.....firstly left Havana at 4am to check in for our flig ht to San Jose which ended up going via Guatamala....then spent a night a quiet San Jose before boarding our massive bus trip through three countries to the north coast of Honduras. Back down south to the little ferry port of San Jorge to catch the hour and a half boat to the volcanic isle. Much more straightforward journey to Granada in another crammed to the rafters old school bus. We weren't sure what to expect when we first arrived at the bus station and trotted through a very real working market, but discovered a beautiful traditional city on the other side. Checked into a wicker-tastic hostel in a courtyard building...all teak wood, lush garden and even a pool! Spent a lovely couple of sunny days pottering around the Old Town, climbing chur...
