14th July

Apparently our body clocks aren't aware that we went out last night so we are up surprisingly early and had granola and banana for breakfast. There isn't much planned for today as Andres has a wedding to attend and Laura has her final hair styling class in Medellin, so we hitch a ride into the city with them so we can go to the SantaFe shopping mall (it's the biggest in south America, ...so we're told). Stopping en route for a Burger King (Marks choice, he is as excited as a drug mule just getting through customs) We want to buy the family a gift to say thank you for letting us stay with them, this is going to be tricky!!!

The shopping mall doesn't disappoint it's huge, we walk around for a couple of hours going in all the shops, it was just like shopping back home, they had Zara, converse and quicksilver stores...we finally found gifts after much deliberation, a London mug for Auroria, happiness/friendship stones for Laura and Andres and a small elephant for Erika, as it's her birthday on monday, the stoned elephant represents good luck.

We head back to meet Laura and her mum and after a quick stop at the supermarket we head back to the house, the family are having a small party for Erika's birthday.

By 2am Stevie is bloated from the burrito's and tipsy from the wine so headed to bed but I stayed up and continued having shots of Aguardiente Antioqueno and drinking Rum and coke with the rest of the family. I end up drinking at Erika's house with her friend talking absolute rubbish. By 6am my eyes are so heavy I end up passing out on the coach. Waking up early confused and still drunk I head to the spare room to get more sleep and nurse a potential hangover......
