Whilst Tessa focused on pure relaxation Vikki went to swim with sea turtles. A delightful experience. It was at a natural aquarium where a cave like area has created a pool which changes depths with the tide. It is safe for the turtles as there is no access to the sea for them. The turtles have either been rescued from the beach or from nets by local people. When they are 30 years old and at mate-able age they are released back into the sea to fend for themselves. At the moment they have approximately 25 turtles of varying ages, the eldest "George" is due to be released soon. We fed them seaweed and patted/ stroked them. They like being rubbed on the bottom of their necks.
The rest of the day was spent lolling around reading books. The evening was our first major farewell dinner as 9 people are leaving us here. Tessa & I got out our tutus for the occasion much to the appreciation if everyone. A fun evening of silly photography followed!
