We started the day at a supermarket purchasing lunches for the next 3-4 days. No vegetables though so on our long drive we stopped in a village and bought from the local market. We enjoyed this as an opportunity to negotiate with locals, although we found that everything ( whether for one or a dozen) was "1000". A bit of negotiating helped some what.
In the afternoon we had a game drive on the outskirts of the Serengeti. We saw the beginning of the wildebeest migration as those of the 3+ million wildebeest, zebra and gazelles who migrate together began their journey to the Masaai Mara. We are thrilled to have seen both ends of this annual phenomena.
Once again we were I. A basic campsite, guarded by men with bow & arrows. Tonight we had a bonfire to sit around whilst we are dinner.
