Another early start to do a morning game drive - as well as seeing most things we'd seen yesterday we saw two lions at a distance - one which was resting under a tree whilst his friend seemed to be having a stroll. We also saw a herd of elephants really close up - a wonderful experience as the youngest (less than 1 year old) gambol around. Another highlight was sitting in the truck as a small portion of the wildebeest migration went around either side of us at a run ... The zebra were slightly more sedate grouping up at the back to follow along.
Upon exiting the national park we stopped at a Masai village where we're greeted by young warriors with their welcoming dance - once we had entered the village the young women greeted us in song. We were given a tour of a family house - built from local wood, mud, and grass. Small and dark with at least two adults and 4 young children. The adolescents/ young adults have their own abodes they share.
Following lunch we had a long drive to Lake Naivasha arriving in the dark. We stopped for a quick supermarket shop for lunch ingredients which we have to get ourselves. We're getting ham, cheese, tomato, rolls, fruit, green beans to eat ... and snacks of muesli bars and nuts.
We managed to get our tent up in the dark before the rain arrived ... we're planing some sun dances :-)
