Grabbed some breakfast at a Vietnamese family restaurant, they are the cheapest places to eat at when you can find them!
Finding it difficult to calculate the money, it's ridiculous. I don't know why they have to work in thousands!
15,000 Vietnamese Dong is 46p. And £1 is around 32,480.54 VD. So yeah, it's a little difficult to calculate in the brain still.
We went to an American bar 'Joes' we could use the pool and sit on the loungers if we bought a drink so that we did. It was nice, overlooking the sea, there isn't much of a beach though. The steps going down the beach are starting to erode because the tide is getting higher and there is only sandy beach on two parts, it looks okay but the sea is very sea weedy and there are loads of fishing nets in the sea with kite surfers and mini sail boats dodging them.
It is definitely the place to kite surf here, the wind picks up a lot on the front, especially in the afternoon. The water was crashing up over the walls into the restaurant, you could feel the vibration through the floor when the water was crashing into it.
The main strip is nice, there are a lot of bars and restaurants here but there's a heavy Russian invasion of tourists here, one party of the strip there aren't any English menus or signs it's either in Russian or Vietnamese. It's a holiday tourist destination more than a backpacker haven now.
We laid by the pool nearly all day except for going to grab a sandwich from a street vendor that Sarah and Mike highly recommended, and I must say it was top notch grub, and only 46p for a toasted roll with proper BBQ chicken and salad, it was yummy! Scott had two because his bucket size Vietnamese noodle soup didn't seem to fill him enough this morning, haha!
To top it off we found a gorgeous cake shop so we all each had a slice of cake, good cake! I had Black Forest cake (without the cherries and strawberries) Scott had a triple chocolate cake, Sarah had the carrot cake and Mike had an Oreo cheesecake although he said the texture was all wrong. They can't bake cakes as good as at home!
Scott and I hired a moped out this evening ready for an early morning drive to the sand dunes tomorrow for sunrise, and we had to reluctantly but toiletries, I hate that job!
It was only until I got into the shower this evening that I realised I had burnt, my face and chest. My forehead is super red so slapping the sudacrem on tonight for when I go to bed. Scott is also like a beetroot, thought we would have a tolerance to the sun a little by now!
We ate at a Vietnamese restaurant tonight, I had the Vietnamese rice noodle and chicken soup - delicious! I am obsessed with it.
Scott had the beef luk lac with proper steak beef we think.
Me and Scott went back early because we had a 4.30am alarm clock call, to be fair we fell asleep straight away because we were super tired from lying about all day basking in the sun!
