We went for a walk around town this morning, stopped for breakfast at the chocolate cafe and the popped back to the bakery for some goodies to take on the first leg of the bus journey.
We chilled out at the hostel and played some games of s*** face (it's 9-3 to Scott now)!
One last goodby hug with muma and Annie and we were sad to be leaving!
Our bus was nice enough, we had a 30 seater for 10 people! We were going to lie out but we didn't want to fall asleep just yet and we had loads of leg room. The driver was the slowest driver ever! He was coasting down the mountains some times and doing about 20mph on a flat straight road which added about and 1 and half hours on to the journey! We had three goofball Americans on our trip that were buying beer at the pit stop and the one was insensitive and vein enough to wear a best top that had 'proud to be American' on it, he seemed like a right turnip, walked with a swag and as if he had two loafs of bread underneath his arms.
Arrived in Nha Trang at about 5pm. It's really busy here and is full of everything Russian here. The bars, restaurants and shops all have Russian menus and signs and we get greeted in Russian - no! (It's like being in Calangute, Goa; again!)
We took a walk down the beach because our second bus wasn't until 7.30pm.
The beach had a main road and a promenade behind it, it was a bit like a Spanish beach, lots of tourists in speedos!
Everyone seemed to be flying kites! They looked so much fun, I wanted one! The last time I flew a kite was up the folly and dad was throwing rocks in to fresh cow dung to make it splatter everywhere and mum was running away from the cows haha; aww those were the days! Haha.
We went for some 'phó' beef and fresh noodle soup. It's so delicious, and using chopsticks is becoming increasingly easier!
The second bus arrived - sleeper bus. People sat in our seats as per usual so I sat on the bottom one and Scott above me. Only to be moved and made to sit on the top row so I wanted to sit by the window because I didn't like balancing in the middle last time! I hope this journey goes fast and I sleep a lot of it! I have the most enormous knot in my back under my shoulder blade so that's definitely not helping the situation any little bit!
And the heavy breathing/ snoring has begun! I need to invest in some ear moulds or blue tac even!
Next stop (550km away) Hoi An!
