It was nice not having to get up at the crack of dawn to get a bus this morning, at last we were able to just get up in our own time and get breakfast, the bus was at 9.20am and the bus stop was only up the road so we asked the hotel to book us a tuk tuk. We were still there super early! The bus wasn't too bad, it was roomy and comfortable. They have us free water and fruit juice, a coffee and banana cake; half way in to the five hour journey we stopped and were all given a free lunch which was yummy noodle soup! At one point we stopped for about 5 minutes and I went to the toilet which was at the bak of the bus but whilst I was still in there the bus started going again and as I came out Scott was walking up and down the isle worried to death that they had gone without me, the second driver that was at the back of the bus catching some shut eye was laughing his head off at him. Haha! So unaware of his surroundings sometimes!
Started reading marching powder that Scott got his head into for about a week and have up reading after about 100 pages.
We got dropped off on the side of a main highway with overpriced taxis and motorbike taxis, we settled on a price of about 160 baht which was still a bloody lot! We both jumped on our motorbikes and they went up the wrong side of the road for a few metres before they could turn to get on the slip road, it was an uncomfortable ride because I felt as though I was going to fall backwards off the bike as my bag was so heavy.
The hotel is alright, it has everything we need and it's close to everywhere. (Somjai attuyaha hotel)
The lady at reception said that the night market was good for food so we took her word for it this evening and went down the street, she was right there were a lot of food stalls but they were all the clay pots which you had to cook your own food and tonight we couldn't be bothered to wait too do that and we didn't want to wait long to eat so we found a little family run restaurant on the corner of the night market street, their morning glory was delicious!! Food was cheap and good, we found a gem there!
We were both in bed by 7.45pm and I was ready to fall asleep straight away! We did manage to force our selfs to stay awake for a little longer watching the one English speaking channel we had!
