It really didn't feel like Christmas this morning! No stocking on the end of my bed for the first time ever was sad :(
But we did have a card from the family which gave me a lump in my throat, but I held back the tears! can't wait to Skype everyone later!
We had breakfast and went to the beach, still really overcast today but there are breaks in the cloud giving us some rays which is good!
We kick started the day with a cold Chang beer at 10.30am, why not it is Christmas! Scott was straight in the sea like a big kid, he was so funny rolling around in the sand and diving underneath them, I've never known someone to love going in the sea as much as he has on this trip... And he's not usually that big of a sea lover!
By 1pm we had drunk four beers each and were feeling pretty tipsy!
We held Neissa the baby monkey aswell, animals here are looked after a lot more than India. The monkey was crying for the guy when he sat it on us, when the man took it back he was kissing it and playing with it like it's mother, and then he gave it a bottle of milk! So adorable! They wear little nappies as well some of them hehe! People think they're drugged but there's no way, they're so well looked after the baby thinks that the owner is their mother because they are constantly nursing them and feeding and playing with them.
He had booked Christmas dinner in 'the duke's pub' it's got a good English menu so we thought we would book there, creamy mushrooms and garlic bread to start and Scott had tomato soup, we both had Turkey dinner and ordered an extra Yorkshire pudding each, can't a&e a Christmas dinner without Yorkshire puddings! The apple crumble was good for desserts but a drop of custard wouldn't gone a miss, Dry as a board it was!
Back to the beach for another beer and the a morning wake up call for the hungover tequila drinker - Ross! He felt pretty sick when he went to find his present from 'Santa' and there was a bottle of Russian vodka there for him - haha! Self infliction does not get sympathy as I don't not receive any when I get in a state from cocktail mixture of drinks!
We were beat after a hard day of drinking and swimming in the clear blue sea so we went back to the room for a nap and watched the equaliser on Scott's phone.
We went back to the dukes pub for some drinks and a bit of live Asian woman singing classic Christmas songs and 90s hits which was surprisingly really good!
Anoher FaceTime to the fam-a-lam whilst they were at dinner up aunty Lynne's, and a very merry bunch they were, well mum was haha! She needs to save her self for holidays, that him will catch her up tomorrow morning I'm sure of it!
Christmas Day was different... Quiet, chilled and warm. A little strange and lonely at first but the face times helped!
