Our pick up was at 9.30 this morning, only it was a walking taxi not a motorised taxi because there are no cars here! We must have walked the entire village before we got to the place where we boarded the boats!
We had free thai breakfast, it wasn't amazing but it was free food!
They then split us all into groups because some were doing half day tours and us greedy ones were doing the full day tour!
Our boat was a fair size, it held 20 people and it was a little bigger than a long tail fishing boat.
We went out to Viking cave first, it was a cave in the limestone rocks and people loved I there, their house built of bamboo sticks and tarpaulin! What an awful place to live! Especially as the waves were crashing up to it!
It was a rocky ride to the next destination! I was getting soaked as we were bashing over the waves! I didn't like it at all!
Our boat was going really slow compared to all the other boats aswell! So if a plush speedboat came bombing passed us we were definitely feeling the effects of that!
If we had had the money we would have done a speedboat for the day, it was £50 for the day so between a few of you It isn't too pricey!
Our first stop where we got out of the boat was Pi Leh Bay, this island that we were going around now was called 'Phi Phi Le' we are staying on 'Phi Phi Don'.
The water and coral on this island is even better than the place we are staying! The water was sky blue, I've never seen water quite like it! It was so picturesque surrounded by the mountains aswell!
Next stop was to Maya bay, this is where the beach was filmed! It was absolutely mind blowingly beautiful! I've never seen anything quite like it! Yes there were lots of people there but if you took all the Asian tourists off then it would be a deserted island! It's impeccably clean, the boats look as though they're floating in air and not floating on water! The water is warm and the sand is Snow White! It's fab there, after a few photo moments and a swim in the sea we went over into a cover of maya bay were we jumped off and snorkelled, to be fair nothing I have seen has ever Ben as good as Egypt because that's like sticking your head in a tropical fish tank! But this place wasn't bad! We seen quite a few different species of fish, the bright yellow angel fish were my favourite and we seen some fish that looked really bizarre! It looked like a box with a tail and two huge google eyes!
We done a few more stops for snorkelling including a stop at mosquito island to snorkel, but that place wasn't very good!
The one place I was dreading going was monkey beach, I did not want to get out of the boat! They were the horrible marquees that pinch your stuff and wanting to scratch you or show their rabi infested teeth!
I reluctantly got out the boat but stayed in the water, people were getting close and feeding them, some monkeys got angry and tried to scratch at people. Silly human beings! Scott was in there with them getting up close and too personal with the mean creatures! I was so glad when that horn sounded! I was like a whippet getting on that damn boat!
They gave us rice for lunch and some watermelon, I had two servings of because watermelon is a little too healthy for Scott. We stopped off at bamboo island which didn't have a hint of bamboo on it! Just fur treesand picnic tables. It was like having a forest picnic but on a deserted island with white sand and clear blue water! A little strange! We had a walk along the beach and people watched at the selfie models (Asian tourists) shot laughed at because we have a tan so I pointed and laughed at them back - I won that competition! Don't wear foolish clothes and you won't get laughed at back! :)
Our last stop of the day before sunset was shark point, unfortunately no sharks to see at this time of the day so people got in and snorkelled, I didn't because if dried off by now and another reason was that the captain was throwing in rice that had been left over so their were hundreds and hundreds of those tropical stripy fish swimming around the boat! Scott was first in and boy did they like the taste of him! Apparently it was like being in a fish spa but an all over body one! I would of absolutely hated that!
All you could hear was Scott screaming out 'ahh it's nibbling me, ahh it feels weird' and the best one was 'ah! It bit my blood nipple, right on the teet!' Haha I was in fits of laughter!!
At least he got some great go pro videos!
The sunset was gorgeous, it was a deep red and orange! We weren't far from the main pier so it didn't take very long to get back after the sunset, although the little long tail fishing boats were overtaking us and we were bigger than them! Embarrassingly slow this boat is.
We had a really good day, especially as it only cost £12 each! We done absolutely loads aswell. We have seen everything we wanted to around the island! And it wasn't too rushed either, we had enough time in each place!
We were absolutely starving so we got showered and went out for food early.
Only before we went out to dinner we had a situation on our hands... My piercing which I had done in Chiang Rai was healing really well. Only I had a small bar put in so now my ear has swollen the piercing is starting to grow into my ear, and now it's hurting real bad so it's time for it to come out! It was only £2 so not a fortune that I'm losing.
All well and good to get it out but Scott had to try and clasp it with the tweezers and untwist the ball. He didn't know which side to twist and every time he went to touch it it was in awful pain! After the first few tries we stopped and I accepted that I either had to go to the doctors or go to a tattoo parlour that done piercings and ask then to get it out. We gave it give minutes and he had another go, this time I nearly fainted so I had to lie down on the bed - I'm such a wuss with pain on times! Although this pain was sickening pain and a deep throbbing, not like a sharp and quick needle pain.
He finally got it out and the puss was pouring out of my eye! Yum. Haha! That turned me off my food a little I must say!
We were back in bed by 9pm with a chocolate and Oreo shake each for desert!
